The thermostatic head with a remote sensor and M30x1.5mm thread (without a shut-off valve) is designed for automatic adjustment of the coolant flow in collector heating systems.
The thermostatic head consists of a plastic housing (7) which is attached with a union nut to the appropriate thread of the shut-off valve (6). Adjustment is made by turning the adjusting cap (1) until the housing mark (7) is aligned with the desired temperature indicated on the cap (1). In this case, the cap (1) presses on the bellows (10), which in turn moves the pressure rod (9) down. The push rod (9) comes out of the body (7) and moves the rod (3) with the locking cone (4) to the position of seat overlap (5). With an increase in the temperature of the medium with which the sensor (8) is in contact, there is heating and an increase in the volume of liquid inside the "sensor-bellows" system. The consequence of this is an increase in the vertical size of the bellows (10), which moves the rods (9), (3) even more and reduces the flow area of the seat (5) and the coolant flow through it. This leads to a decrease in temperature at the sensor (8) and a decrease in the volume of liquid inside the "sensor-bellows" system. Thus, the process of stabilization of the temperature set in the heating system takes place with the help thermostatic head with a remote sensor.
