With the onset of the summer period, many people need to create a certain reserve of water in household and summer cottages for water supply and irrigation, for which various tanks, barrels and containers are purchased. After you deliver a barrel or tank to your site, you will definitely have to think about connecting a pipeline to it. A similar problem also arises for the creators of various piping systems that work with sufficient volumes of liquid when it is necessary to make input / output from the tank body or container. To solve this problem, the production of our company has developed and manufactured tie-ins in a tank with a diameter of 15.20 and 25 mm made of brass , which allows you to easily and reliably connect a line or pipeline to any tank that has a flat surface of the body with a diameter of at least 39-55 mm and a thickness of not more than 5- 6mm. The 15-25mm tie-in into the tank assembly is a hollow “fungus” (fitting) made of brass with a left-hand thread for a clamping nut and a right-hand thread for connecting to a pipeline, two rubber gaskets and a clamping nut. The left-hand thread of the nut eliminates the possibility of self-unscrewing of the fitting when tightening the right-hand thread during connection to the main. To install the tie-in in the tank, you just need to make a hole in its body with a diameter of 38-39 mm (according to the size of the threaded part) and insert the main body of the tie-in with an internal gasket into it from the inside of the tank. It is advisable to apply a thin layer of silicone sealant on the gaskets from 2 sides - this will minimize the likelihood of leaks and partially fix the gasket on the fitting during its installation in the prepared hole. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the installation of a tie-in into the tank of our design does not require the installer to have access to the inside of the tank - for this it is enough to have a neck with a diameter of more than 60 mm and direct the body of the tie-in with a gasket through it into the hole using a piece of pipe or a wooden rail of sufficient length, after which from the outside fix the tie-in with a clamping nut with an outer gasket.

To tighten the clamping nut, it is enough for you to have a 25mm wrench for mounting an American squeegee, which is inserted until it is fixed inside the tie-in into the tank and creates a fixing force. When connecting threaded connections to the tie-in, modern packaging materials should be used: sealing pastes, linen or FUM tape. On this, the process of installing a brass tie-in into the tank can be considered complete. Now more and more cheap plastic fittings for connecting pipeline and shutoff valves appear on the Ukrainian markets every day, including inexpensive polymer tie-ins to the tank. Very few of them are made of durable thermostable plastic capable of withstanding mechanical and thermal loads without deformation and destruction. Temperature drops are especially dangerous for such a fitting (the polymer becomes brittle and its geometric dimensions decrease), vibration (from a running pump, for example) and mechanical stresses transmitted from the pipeline when the temperature changes, which can cause cracking of the tie-in into the tank up to destruction with literal consequences. These shortcomings are devoid of a tie-in into the tank made of brass, the manufacture of which by hot stamping was started in January 2014 by S.T.A. in Kharkov.
