Hydroforming stainless steel pipes (stainless steel)
We offer our customers a new service - custom-made parts from stainless steel pipes by hydroforming.
Pipe hydroforming is a technology for changing the shape of a metal pipe, which allows you to give it almost any configuration.
In the process of hydroforming, a heated liquid (oil, emulsion) is supplied under high pressure to the pipe located inside the split die. The liquid (due to the fact that it practically does not compress) bursts the metal from the inside and the pipe wall is stretched, taking the form given by the matrix. The hydroforming process takes into account the restoration of the thickness of the pipe walls, which thin out at the points of expansion. The hydrostatic pressure that deforms the pipes ensures that each individual part can withstand the same uniform pressure and therefore no springback effect, as well as high reliability and rigidity. This technology makes it possible to produce a product that best matches the 3D model designed by technologists to meet the client's requirements.
Hydroformed pipes have much higher aesthetic and functional qualities than those obtained by traditional methods. Thanks to hydroforming, technologists and designers have complete freedom - this technology actually allows them to obtain complex shapes that usually require more expensive and complex processes (for example, such as casting or stamping). Stainless steel pipe hydroforming is a process that produces outstanding results with clear time and cost advantages.
Advantages of hydroforming stainless steel tubes:
- simplification of design and reduction of additional operations
- elimination of unnecessary operations of connecting parts
- reduction of the number of special equipment
- reduction of overall costs
This technology is suitable for the production of:
- shaped pipes (conical, with ledges, with threaded platforms, etc.)
- pipes with a variable diameter or profile
- pipes with bends (T, Y - shaped, etc.)
