Short description
The collet - a square (connector) for a metal-plastic pipe of 26 mm is intended for turn on 90 degrees of pipelines in systems of heating, water supply.
The collet-connector with a rotation of 90 0 for a metal-plastic pipe 26mm is made of brass LS-59 by hot stamping and consists of a body and a union nut with a ferrule. The inner part of the collet, which enters the pipe, is made in the form of a fitting with an emphasis for the pipe and an external thread for the union nut. Two grooves are machined on the fitting - sealing rubber rings are fixed in them, which seal the connection of the inner surface of the metal-plastic pipe with the fitting. The union nut of the collet for MP pipes is a cap nut with an internal thread and is used for crimping a special brass ring during tightening, due to which the pipe is fixed on the fitting fitting by cutting the inner notches of the ring into the outer surface of the plastic. For proper installation of the connection in the prepared segment of the metal-plastic pipe, the inner part of the pipe is leveled at the cut point - the chamfer and burrs are removed. Then, a union nut is put on the end of the pipe with a thread towards the collet, then a compression ring and the fitting is inserted into the pipe until it stops so that both rubber sealing rings enter evenly, without distortion. It is especially necessary to pay attention to the coincidence of the longitudinal axes of the fitting and pipe, because when connecting a pipe with subsequent bending, deformation of the cut may occur, which entails a distortion along the sealing rings and the likelihood of leaks. The union nut is tightened with a wrench until noticeable resistance, while holding the connector body with the second wrench (or hand). We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the piping system, made using a metal-plastic fitting, requires periodic control (especially during the initial start-up) for tightness of the connections. Insufficient tightness can occur when the temperature of the external (or working) medium changes and due to the vibration of the liquid in the metal-plastic pipes. As a rule, to restore tightness, it is enough to tighten the union nut of the collet of the metal-plastic fitting. Before ordering and buying metal-plastic fittings, we recommend that you draw a pipeline diagram indicating their type (for example, collet / collet, collet / internal thread, etc.), diameter and quantity - this will avoid errors during installation.
